A Prayer for Our Journey

Father God, as I look back over my life and write it here, help me to tell Your story. This is not a story about my life, this is the story of Jesus and what He has done and meant in my life since before I was even born. As I look back in the rear view mirror I see it all in double vision. I see the world’s kingdom that I was brought up in and I see glimpses of You and Your Kingdom. Thank you Lord for showing me that you’ve always been here. That You’ve always been watching over me. You protected me so many times when I didn’t even know it. You guided me when I couldn’t see. You sent up red flags and signposts even when I didn’t know how to read them. Thank you! Thank you for not leaving me to figure it out on my own, even though I thought I was. Thank you that you love me. Thank you for creating me and thank you that you have a wonderful plan for my life.

Nothing in this world compares to you Lord, so when you come and we get a glimpse, we don’t know what to do with it… with You. You are so opposite of everything this world’s kingdom says you are. Honestly it can be very confusing. Our senses are so immersed in it. Seeing the invisible is quite challenging. There must be others who feel the same way. Lord work through me that I might help them to “see” with a different lens. Your word says, “the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” When we go from darkness to light it is hard to see until our eyes get adjusted. Teach us to walk in that light. I ask you to be All In this Blog. That these would be your words and not my own. Give me the words that your people need to hear. Use this for your Glory and to give your people direction. I am so grateful for who you are and what you’ve done in my life and in my heart. Help us to know you, that we might all come to love you for who you really are and who we are in You. In Jesus precious name…
